Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Depart at 8:00 AM from Arusha (or Moshi) and drive through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands toward the Serengeti, a journey of about 5–6 hours. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive across the vast plains of the Serengeti. In the evening, transfer to your designated campsite or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti
After breakfast, spend the entire day exploring the endless Serengeti plains on a game drive. The park is home to the Big Five as well as hippos, elands, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, and a wide variety of bird species. A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot, after which you’ll continue with wildlife viewing until late afternoon. Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Serengeti → Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge
In the morning, depart from Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most important paleoanthropological sites where the earliest human fossils were discovered. After lunch en route, continue to Ngorongoro and transfer to your campsite or lodge near the crater for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater—the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is home to around 30,000 animals, including elephants, buffalo, jackals, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. In the evening, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Ngorongoro → Arusha via Nainokanoka Village
After breakfast, check out and drive to Nainokanoka Village, where you will visit a traditional Maasai boma. Experience their culture, traditions, dances, and handicraft-making firsthand. After a picnic lunch, begin your journey back to Arusha (or Moshi), where the safari ends in the late afternoon.
